Bangladeshi citizens require a visa to enter Angola. There is no Consulate or Embassy of Angola in Dhaka, nearest is in New Delhi, India. The Embassy of Angola provides Short Term for a validity of 60 days and Long Term Visas to Bangladeshi nationals as per the following categories:

  • Short Term Ordinary/Entry Visa (Family Visit/Business Visit)
  • Long Term Visa (Residence Visa/Work Visa/Dependent)

Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders for official trip:

1. Passport:

a) Original Passport with validity of minimum 09 (nine) months after the intended date of departure and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp.

b) Copy of previous passports and visas issued.

2.   Visa Application Form: 

Visa application form should be filled in BLOCK LETTER with accurate information, printed and signed by the applicant. To download the form Please Click Here.

3. Photo:

a)Two passport size color photographs with matt or semi matt finish. Photograph should be white background, without border

b)60%-80% face coverage, light background and without border (Size: 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm)

4.  Covering-Letter:

Covering Letter from applicant including Name, Designation, Passport Number, purpose and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip – travel, accommodation, expenses etc. Addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of Angola, New Delhi. Visa Category must be mentioned in the subject line.

5.  Proof of Occupation

a) Government Order:

This letter, commonly called the GO Letter works as a forwarding letter for government officials/service holders. It is issued from the respective government office where the visa applicant is stationed. GO Letter is duly signed and stamped according to the standard format set by government offices detailing applicant’s basic information, purpose of visit, statement on undertakings of responsibilities/funding etc.

b) Note Verbal:

This letter is basically issued as a visa support letter issued from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs according to the standard format set by ministry detailing applicant’s basic information, purpose of visit, duration of the trip etc.

6. Invitation Letter: 

An Invitation letter addressed to the Embassy of Angola, New Delhi, composed in Portuguese language on the company’s letter head pad clearly stating the purpose of travel, residing address during the applicants’ stay in Angola and duration of stay. The letter should be duly signed with signatory’s name, designation and company stamp.

  • Inviter’s ID proof: 

Clear and valid photo ID card copy (Resident Card/Angolan Passport/Valid Angola Visa if the invitee is not an Angolan national) of the invitee in Angola.

 7. Financials:

Original copy of Bank Statement (salary)/ Personal bank statement for last 6 months with authorized bank stamp and signature (e-statement is not acceptable)

8. Airline: 

Reservation copy of Airline Itinerary as per your travel period.

9.  Hotel Reservation: 

Hotel booking as per travel date    

10. Additional Requirements:

Original Yellow Fever Vaccination Card/Certificate.

 

BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENTS

1.  Passport:

a) Original Passport with validity of minimum 09 (nine) months after the intended date of departure and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp.

b) Copy of previous passports and visas issued.

c) Trade license / Incorporation Certificate & Memorandum (for business person)

7. Inviter Company's DAR:

Clear and latest Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan company known as (DAR – Documento de Arrecadacao de Receitas- Document pertaining to the collection of revenues)

8. Financials:

Original copy of Bank Statement (salary)/ Personal bank statement for last 6 months with authorized bank stamp and signature (e-statement is not acceptable)

9. Airline:

a) Ticket Itinerary as per travel date.

10. Hotel Reservation:

Hotel booking as per travel date

 

11. Additional Requirements:

 Original Yellow Fever Vaccination Card/Certificate.

 

 

Family Visit Visa Requirements

1. Passport:

Clear and valid photo ID card (Resident Card/Angolan Passport/Valid Angola Visa) copy of the invitee in Angola.

7. Inviter’s Supporting Document:
  • Documents proving the family relation between the Inviter and the visa applicant
  • Documents from the inviter on Financial Solvency such bank statement
  • Clear and latest Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan Resident
  • Valid Tenancy Agreement/ Latest Utility Bill copy
 8. Proof of Occupation

9. Health Insurance: 

To cover the possible expenses related to repatriation, for health reasons, urgent medical assistance and/or urgent hospitalization – For single / double entry visa – covering the entire period of stay in Angola.

a)      For multiple entry visa – covering the period of first stay in Angola along with a filled-out statement for subsequent visits.

b)      The lowest sum insured must be equivalent of Euro 30,000.00.

10. Marriage Certificate: 

Copy of marriage certificate. If the document is in Bengali, it must be translated in English and notarized.

11. Additional Requirements:

  Original Yellow Fever Vaccination Card/Certificate.

PROCESSING TIME

Total approximate time is 16-18 working days. (10-12 days for processing at the Embassy + 6 days for international passport transit)

Note: The length of maximum stay is 30 days, which must be used within 60 days of the visa validity period and can be extended twice during one’s stay in Angola for an additional 30-day period.
